The department of Civil Engineering at Thejus Engineering College is an integral part of this college. The department has justifiably provided itself on the quality of its academic programmes and is keeping pace with the latest developments in engineering education.
The department offers Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with student intake of 120 and Master’s degree in two major specialisations of Civil engineering (viz., Geotechnical Engineering and Structural Engineering) with an intake of 18 students in each specialisation.
This department has well equipped labs and workshops to impart practical training to the students. These include Material Testing lab, Geotechnical Engineering lab, Environmental Engineering lab, Transportation Engineering lab, Surveying lab and Software labs for extensive training to both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
Our students are well placed in India and abroad and have also gone for higher studies.
To achieve excellence in Civil Engineering education, devoted to produce engineers with social commitment and ability to take up professional and research assignments in Civil Engineering and allied fields.
To foster an academic environment conducive in developing knowledge, skills and innovative solutions, that contributes to the sustainable development of our society.

Civil engineering is the oldest and one of the most versatile branches of engineering. Every structure that we see around today is a creation of civil engineering. Civil engineers design, construct, supervise, operate, and maintain large construction projects and systems, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment. Many civil engineers work in design, construction, research, and education.
